Understood, though even in an optimized alignment the horn will still limit the 'sweet spot' much more than a typical cone/dome speaker. Once toe'd in as required though, they will cover the listening area while reducing the early reflections that compromise the critical mids' clarity.

You can make the cab as complicated/elaborate as your woodworking/finishing skills/patience allows forums , but no need to, especially if you don't mind setting the horns on top, like typically done with A7's. Anyway, there are a number of cab designs available from factory to modified versions of factory designs to large DIYer's designs, so basically it boils down to how big can you tolerate and where will they be located in how big a room.

Also, considering their age, the XO's caps probably need replacing and if you still have good HF hearing you may want to at least add an XO by-pass cap since these systems were optimized back when there wasn't much on a recording beyond ~12 kHz.
